The Many Benefits of Meditation

Posted by bcoe on November 29, 2009

The deeper truths of the human spirit too often remain unrecognized within individuals because of the nature of a modern, busy life. Our lives are often too busy for us to ever take the time to get in touch with our deepest, heartfelt desires. But behind the constant stream of input coming into our five senses lies a stillness and persistent joy that is the core of our identity. Meditation is the valuable tool that will help us find that part in all of us.

The following is a list of the many benefits a regular meditation practice will enable:

  • Easier learning;
  • Increased self-confidence;
  • Improved mental and physical health;
  • Better awareness of one’s deepest desires;
  • Better control over one’s actions;
  • A reduction and elimination of fears;
  • Increased compassion and empathy;
  • A desire to seek out and create experiences of love and peace;
  • Increased patience;
  • Better personal organization;
  • More consistent moods;
  • Better control over habits such as drinking and smoking;
  • A heightened interest in living one’s deepest desires;
  • Better understanding of spiritual concepts;
  • A natural desire for ethical behavior;
  • Increased intelligence;
  • A steadily increasing happiness;
  • Easier forgiveness of others;
  • A greater appreciation for simple things;

Meditation is any activity that calms the mind and brings the conscious attention into the present moment, away from past or future concerns. This can include walking in nature, doing yoga, or any number of similar, calming activities. Another type is seated meditation, which is probably the most recognized form of meditation. Seated meditation quickly brings great benefit; it entails sitting still, in silence, on a pillow or chair, while trying to calm the mind by focusing on the breath. Practiced regularly, seated meditation is enormously effective at bringing lasting happiness and relief from modern stresses.

The many modern distractions of technology, entertainment and professional sports, among other things, have become so enthralling that they have caused us to attach more value to these external phenomena than seeking to know the internal values that lie within us. Without quiet time, a mind never truly cleanses itself from this external sensory data, which leaves the mind buzzing with an almost steady stream of noise. These noises distract us because they block access to a true and deep state of peace, concentration and awareness.

Without full awareness of our actions we are likely to act out of habit, and can easily become influenced by others. In either case, we act in a less desirable way than if we had been more aware of what we were doing in that moment. Through meditation, we learn to become more aware of our own behaviors, or the reasons that motivate our behaviors, which enables us to have more control over what we want to create.

Also preventing us from creating what we truly and deeply desire is our fear of change and our fear of the unknown. By enabling greater awareness of the causes of these fears and by reducing the intensity of these fears, meditation is also useful as the quickest means to helping us move past any fears that are preventing us from seeking new experiences. A greater awareness allows us to step on the path to achieving our life’s purpose by enabling access to deeper truths that might otherwise remain unknown or blocked by our fears. We additionally gain more self-confidence by learning to step out of our comfort zone and take more chances.

By quieting the mind, meditation is an important tool to help us attain new levels of awareness so that we no longer let our habits or fears determine our actions. By starting with ten to fifteen minutes each day, in the morning or evening, we will begin to understand ourselves in new and deeper ways, and we will discover that balancing our busy lives with quiet time will lead us to ever increasing states of peace and happiness.

On the Swine Flu and Vaccine

Posted by bcoe on October 25, 2009

In this matter, as in all matters, it’s important that we retain our perspective on the issue by not letting fear take us into a panic. Fear will cause us to make overly emotional judgments and to draw irrational conclusions. The swine flu and swine flu vaccine are issues that contain some under-reported intricacies, so I would like to share with you some of the alternative views.

As you may already know, there are significant numbers of people around the world who are opposed to getting the swine flu vaccine. Here are some facts about this issue:

  • A CBS report reveals that swine flu cases have been overestimated;
  • The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has refused CBS investigators a freedom of information act request (…is there something being withheld from us?);
  • There are four reported deaths in Sweden attributed to the swine flu vaccine, as well as deaths in other countries;
  • Swine flu vaccine has not been tested long term for harmful side effects;
  • Baxter, one vaccine maker, is prepared to profit $40 million in fourth quarter 2009 from the sale of vaccines, and sees a multi-year “opportunity“;
  • The swine flu vaccines have Thimerosal, which  contain mercury, a serious neurotoxin (and the suspected harmful additive causing the rise in autism); however, single-dose vaccines without mercury are available upon request;

We can take this a step further, although an uncomfortable step. There is solid evidence that the swine flu vaccines are themselves a serious threat to health, and are intentionally being forced on people with the goals of profiting largely from vaccine sales, as well as reducing the size of the human population. One suspicious fact is that Baxter, one maker of the swine flu vaccines, filed for a patent (Baxter Vaccine Patent Application pdf) for the H1N1 flu vaccine on August 28, 2007, somehow already having been able to know about the upcoming outbreak. This alludes to the possibility of foreknowledge about this so-called pandemic. Another fact involving Baxter, is that formal charges have been filed against them claiming that they recently intentionally produced and distributed contaminated bird flu vaccines, back when bird flu was the threatening pandemic, thus suggesting intent to cause harm.

As evidence that this assertion is serious, consider that lawsuits have been filed against authorities in France, Belgium and in the United States over forced vaccinations, claiming that it is “an act of poisoning.” Read the legal document here of a recently filed lawsuit against Kathleen Sebelius, the U.S. Department of Health and Humans Services Secretary, claiming, among other things, as a factual allegation that,

“There presently exists a bank-based transnational corporate criminal conspiracy to violate the fundamental constitutional rights and well-being of the American people, including those of the plaintiff, through fraudulent political, legal and financial contracts in the form of surreptitiously signed/enacted international treaties and federal laws/executive orders enabling the mandated imposition of bioweaponized H1N1 influenza vaccinations and quarantines/detentions through martial law.”

In addition, Jane Burgermeister, a European reporter, has put together a website called www.theflucase.com. On it, she writes,

“Here (her website), evidence is collected and presented which, according to Jane Burgermeister, reveals that there is a plan in action to reduce the world population by using contaminated vaccines. Jane Burgermeister shows that several international organizations are involved with this plan as are several international companies. Together these form a criminal syndicate which in secret intend to ‘save the planet’ from what is considered harmful overpopulation.”

Read Jane Burgermeister’s official legal charges filed against Baxter here, claiming that, among other things,

“As evidence for Baxter’s participation in a secret, black international bioweapons programme, I cite reports that the ‘bird flu’ virus was resurrected by US bioweapons scientists from the Spanish Flu virus in 1996 and also note that Baxter has patented a highly pathogenic bird flu virus mutation, something difficult to account for if Baxter is not doing research into weaponised bird flu strains…

As evidence that Baxter deliberately manufactured and distributed the contaminated material, I note the way the Biosecurity Level 3 regulations were systematically subverted at Baxter’s facilities in Orth an der Donau.”

As you can see, there are significant elements to the swine flu story that are contrary to the oversimplified, problem-solution scenario we are presented with in the main stream media. I present this information with the intention of sharing an alternate view because at this point, in 2009, we have seen enough of the New World Order’s fear tactics to now know not to believe everything we are being told before any harmful effects take hold. If you remember, we were scared into a war with Iraq because Dick Cheney didn’t want the warning sign that Iraq was a threat “to be a mushroom cloud.” And as we know, no such threat existed. Those kinds of fear mongering tactics are easy to spot now and it is quite possible that, again, sinister elements of the global elite are wielding their power by intentionally trying to profit from scaring us, and deliberately intending on reducing the size of the human population by first, manufacturing a strain of swine flu, and then forcing the population, through fear, to take vaccinations which themselves are harmful. This plot would be successful if enough people blindly trust what is being shared in the main stream media, and succumb to their fear. As extreme as this sounds, what if it were true?

If it were, if the evidence actually pointed us toward that conclusion, as I believe much evidence does, then I personally could not just sit back and say nothing. Please, take the information I have shared here and look into it further. Particularly, visit Jane Burgermeister’s website, mentioned above, read the news items there, and watch some of the videos on her site. There is a one hour Project Camelot video interview with her that is posted under The Project for a True World Order’s Health and Wellness Videos page that can be watched anytime. Watch that and watch Robert F. kennedy Jr. talk about vaccines below in a very passionate speech. Take the time to investigate these issues as they are important to our health and our future. The more of us who start to ask questions, the sooner criminal and malicious elements of human society will be unable to coerce us into harmful action.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. talks about his experiences with vaccines in this passionate lecture.

The Intelligent Universe

Posted by bcoe on September 18, 2009

The question of whether the universe is intelligent is crucial to understanding the true nature of our life and our world. If the universe is intelligent, then what we call God would be the source of that intelligence; if not, then the universe might just be a random series of events, as many of today’s academic scientists believe.

One implication of an intelligent universe is that we would each embody an aspect of the universal intelligence. Each human consciousness, then, becomes a representation of the universal, and each human life becomes one example of what an individualized portion of the whole can do.

Using our five senses we interpret and measure, quantify and organize the material world so that we can talk about it in a more meaningful way. We utilize the facts of our common experiences to explain to each other what we think about the world we live in. What we think becomes scientific when an experience can be duplicated under controlled circumstances, or falsified through observation or experimentation. But the common factor among all observations of the material world is that they are interpretations. By definition they use the intelligence of the human consciousness to claim something about the world. So the intelligence comes first.

What this proves is that our consciousness is a fundamental characteristic of life. Our intelligence is first, then there is the world. One conclusion that can be made from this is that since our consciousness itself is more fundamental than what our consciousness does (namely, interprets the material world), seeking to understand ourselves first is a wiser choice. While memorizing facts and understanding the order behind the material world is valuable, knowing the knower will give us more valuable information about the nature of life and intelligence.

A nice explanation of this point is given in the following interview with Gopi Krishna.

(The following is excerpted from “An Interview with Gopi Krishna,” for Kundalini Awakening Systems 1 http://www.kundaliniawakeningsystems1.com/downloads.html#checklist)

You take for granted there is an intelligence behind the universe?

Spiritual science is a science as logical, as consistent, and as demonstrable as any other science.

“Most surely. There would be no intelligence in us if there were no intelligence behind the universe.

But there are scientists of international reputation, for instance, the Nobel Prize biologist, Jacques Monod,

in France who claim that such an idea is nonsense, that the universe is founded on chaos, or chance.

They are correct to some extent, because they are condemning themselves. You see, an animal views the

universe as a place of sun, of rain, of darkness, of light, of what it sees, but it never attempts an

explanation for it. He just sees it, observes it, and reacts to it by certain instincts already implanted in him

by nature. Just one step ahead is man, who sees the universe, studies it, measures the dimensions, probes

the depths, calculates the heights, gives the reasons, sees regularity, punctuality, and law in it. And where

do all these things come from except from his own consciousness? He is only reading his own

consciousness.

“An animal does not argue, does not invest the universe with law. It is man who does it. We see then two

different phases of consciousness. In one the universe is just a mechanically moving something, but in the

other it is a lawful and ordered creation. From where has law and order come when it is not in the animal

mind? It has come from consciousness. It has come because man has advanced one step higher in the scale

of consciousness. If he were to advance another step, then what he sees is the whole universe as a

manifestation of consciousness and intelligence, the same consciousness and intelligence which, in a

restricted way in him, invested the universe with law and order.

Everything that you see, every calculation that you make comes from you, comes from your inmost depths.

Now a material scientist may argue that, well, we have gained this by experience. Why has not the ox and

the cow or the fish gained it? Then he will again argue that, well, man’s consciousness took a leap. But

when we ask him, how did it take a leap, he is dumb. He knows nothing. Even Darwin had to admit that we

could give no definite explanation for it except that it is a part of natural selection. So you see, the whole

structure of materialistic philosophy has been built on suppositions and premises, not on realities. The first

reality that we come across is consciousness. The world comes later. We know first ourselves and then the

world.

So, the wiser course is first to understand the knower. What modern thinkers have done is to ignore or

bypass the knower and start investigation of the known, forgetting that it is the knower who is doing it.”
